Stride service and products

Joined stride as a member because the NHS/GP practices only provide a basic service to understand what is going on inside your body. I turned carnivore in January 2024 and as a result totally reversed pre-diabetes, eliminated two medications, halved BP medication, lost 19kg in weight and feeling pretty good at 66 years of age. BUT, what was going on inside my body? are my inflammation markers good? are there anymore issues I am not aware of? The NHS/GP could provide general indicators, but could not provide a comprehensive set of results that could support an informed decision making process. This is where Stride came in: DNA test was very interesting and provided information that could identify a pre-disposition to certain issues and possible remedial actions. Full bloods and inflammation markers test provided a very good current status and possible required supplementation or remedial measures. Microbiome test provided information on my gut health. Phlebotomist (person who comes to your home to take the blood test) was included in the costs and saved a lot of inconvenience. Collectively provided important and necessary information for informed decision making, which would not have otherwise been available. Stride was professional all the way from start to finish, website nice and user friendly, very good information, and the products were presented in a nice package and all looked very professional. Sue my Phlebotomist was excellent, very professional, well presented and very nice. What more could you ask for? Overall and individually excellent for what I wanted to know and required. My only suggestion to Stride would be to look at a service for cholesterol particle size and count.

I now have all my results, have had my consultation with Nomsa (very knowledgeable) and have a plan of action. Can't fault it, other than she recommended that my bloods should have been taken in a fastest state, but when I initially asked about this was told I didn't need to be. Blown away by results

What can I say apart from WOW! This test highlighted how susceptible to anxiety and depression as well as injury. I never realised this was as a result of my DNA and what my body can and cannot absorb. The 45 minute feedback session with Nomsa following receiving my results was worth the money paid for the test alone. Nomsa highlighted the supplements/ food I should be taking/ eating which I had no idea about. I was taking some supplements that my body is already receiving from other sources so we’re not needed in supplement form. Other supplements where the dosage was not high enough. Explaining about how my body has excess dopamine which is why I am susceptible to anxiety and depression blew my mind. In the last 6 months I have been weaned off antidepressants after 32 years and boy am I glad this I why I initially did the test and I am now forearmed with the information to help support my body in a more natural way. Constant injuries at the gym were another thing that was getting me down. The report identified what I needed to be taking to reduce inflammation in my body. Nomsa also advised me on the type of training that would make me more prone to injury. I honestly recommend this test to anyone who is keen to maximise their health and wellbeing.

Great customer service.

I ordered this DNA kit from out of the country so it would arrive when I arrived back in the states. I had a problem with the kit and they sent another one out Fed Ex. Great customer service. Overall I was happy with the kit but it would have been nice to have vitamin suggestions. I ran the report through Chatgpt and they sugested what vitamins would improve my health. Overall I received report and now traveling again and hope my new vitamins will improve my health.
