Is this a diagnostic test?
No. It reads gene variants linked to how your body uses folate and B vitamins. It doesn’t diagnose or predict any condition. If you have symptoms, speak to your GP.
I carry an MTHFR variant. Is something wrong?
MTHFR variants are common. One or two copies change how efficiently one enzyme works; they aren’t a diagnosis. Your report shows the result alongside your other 17 genes, and your specialist talks it through with you.
Should I take methylfolate?
Your report and consultation cover which forms of folate and B vitamins suit your results. Check with your GP or pharmacist before starting any supplement, especially if you take medication.
