Do I need to re-test my DNA?
No. Your DNA does not change.
Once you’ve taken the test, the results remain accurate for life. There is no need to repeat the DNA component of the Vital Duo.
Can lifestyle, supplements or diet change my DNA results?
No. While lifestyle can influence your epigenetic expression and your blood biomarkers, your genetic code itself stays the same.
What does the Optimal Bloods test include?

Can I re-test my bloods?
Yes, we recommend it.
Blood markers fluctuate based on sleep, stress, diet, supplements, training cycles and health events.
Many users re-test every 3–6 months to track progress. Re-testing is available for an additional fee.
Is the blood test available outside the UK?
Not currently.
At-home phlebotomy for the Vital Duo blood test is available within the UK only. Our DNA tests are available internationally.
What if I’ve already done the DNA test or the blood test separately?
You can purchase either component of the Vital Duo as an individual test.
Your results will integrate automatically into your MyStride profile to give you a complete baseline.
How long do results take?
DNA: Approximately 10 business days from lab receipt
Bloods: Approximately 7 business days after your phlebotomy appointment

Do I need to fast before the blood test?
Fasting is recommended but not essential for the most accurate measurement of certain biomarkers.

What happens during the at-home blood appointment?
A qualified phlebotomist visits your home, performs a quick venous draw and sends your sample to our partner lab for analysis.
The process takes around 10 minutes.
How much blood is taken?
About one standard vial — similar to a routine medical blood test.
Do I need to prepare anything for the DNA sample collection?
Yes. Avoid eating, drinking or brushing your teeth for 30 minutes before using the cheek swab.
Is my data secure and confidential?
Absolutely.
Your personal information and test results are protected under strict confidentiality protocols and industry-leading data-security standards.
We never share your data with third parties without explicit consent.
Does Vital Duo diagnose medical conditions?
No.
Stride tests identify biological patterns, suboptimal areas and risk factors, but they are not diagnostic tools.
If results indicate potential medical issues, we recommend discussing them with your GP or a specialist.
Can these tests replace my GP or clinical bloodwork?
No. They are designed to complement, not replace, medical testing.
Diagnostic investigations should still be carried out by your GP or healthcare provider when clinically required.
